In my childhood days, I was a person who stammered a lot but while singing songs I was like a super-fast train without any stoppage 😊. I was a person who muttered songs even while going before exams rather than revising important formulae. I am a person for whom Singing and Music were always an Anti-depressant. Yes I am as the name says Music-O-Maniac Prabal.
I don't know when & how did I attach to Music so well because no one in my family tree has anything to do with music. My father was a Policemen and my mother was a teacher. My birthplace is Hamirpur(U.P.) and then we moved to Jhansi (U.P.).
Well I have started performing on stage in 4th class at my school in Jhansi itself and the very first song I performed in front of my class was "Chand Taare" (from the movie - Yes Boss) and after that, I became so Besharam that In school even I have sung songs like Bijuria (Sonu Nigam) on stage which no school children can even dare mutter in front of those scary teachers who beat us like crazy. Afterward, it was almost like a trend that Prabal will perform for every cultural function of the school and he will perform all types of songs from even Chhichora songs to Patriotic ones.
Then I moved to Lucknow the City of Nawabs where I have to continue performing several songs at my school up to 12th class. I was so crazy about music that Can you imagine, I along with my friend have even performed the Song - Chatur Naar from the movie - Padosan in school and that too with full dramatic dress & props as shown in the original song but without any music. People enjoyed it like crazy.
After completing my school journey I went to IIT Guwahati for my Civil Engineering. Yes, you heard it right the Guwahati, a lovely city of North Eastern Region with full of western music. At college in the very first cult night I have seen our college band performing the Mi2 theme song - Take a look Around by Limp Bizkit and then I became mad about learning the guitar and joining our hostel band at least. Many of our college friends helped me through the way especially my best friend from the college- Gaurav. The first time I have performed on the college stage as Bassey guitarist and the song was Joker & the thief by Wolf Mother. After that several songs we have performed during our college days. Guitar learning was the musical gift from my college to me.
Then I have joined ONGC as a Civil Engineer in Gujarat (Mehsana) there I have joined the Officer's club and performed with my best friend Vipin a lot of songs. And then we participated in the All India Music Competition named Re-YuvaNation organized by the Ministry of Petroleum and . Where I have won 3rd prize for my first ever self composed song - Energy. Afterward, Vipin, Manav & I have composed so many songs together such as Tu jaag ja re, Tu vote kar etc. And now I have also started my own youtube channel - MUSIC-O-MANIAC PRABAL where I upload 1-2 songs weekly for all of you and the same is being loved and supported by all of you. This is my musical journey so far.
